QATAR CANCER SOCIETY – DOHA, QATAR
The Qatar Cancer Society, non-profit humanitarian charity, was established in 1997 and has since been headed by Sheikh Dr. Khalid Bin Jabor Al-Thani, Chairman of its Board of Directors.
The Society is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of cancer and to the implementation of awareness and prevention programs to educate community members and health care workers about the disease. It also serves cancer patients and survivors, as well as their families, with psychosocial & emotional support, as well as financial support for treatment.
QCS in partnership with Ooredoo Communications established the OCIDO Cancer Awareness Center in February 2017, the first of its kind in the Middle East, significantly contributing to the National Cancer Strategy of building a healthier population as a key requirement for human development.
QCS is a Full Member of the U.I.C.C, the Union for International Cancer Control, and is a founding member of the International Cancer Prevention Consortium (ICPC)

We seek to prevent and mitigate cancer in Qatar by working with our partners to educate the community, support, empower and advocate PLWH, and professional development and scientific research in cancer.
